Ruth Rogers, LMT, JD, Certified Shiatsu Practitioner (AOBTA), Certified Trauma Touch Therapist™, Pranic Healing Practitioner, Second Degree Reiki Practitioner, attorney, and graduate of the NYU International Trauma Studies Program.

I have been a devotee of shiatsu therapy for thirty years.  Combined with my analytical background, my extensive involvement with Shiatsu, Trauma Touch Therapy and various energetic disciplines has provided me with a uniquely rich ability in the healing arts.  This ability enables me to work with clients with specific physical ailments as well as those at an emotional or intellectual impasse in their lives.

My work is designed to help inform the client how to be attentive to the needs of his or her own body and to provide the client with a sense of control and balance in his or her life.  Clients come from all walks of life, including business people, first responders, artists and athletes.

I currently maintain a private practice.  In the past, I have worked at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as a member of the Columbia Integrative Medicine Program, Department of Surgery, in the cardiac care unit, working with patients pre and post open-heart and transplant surgeries.

I also worked for many years with members of the FDNY and their families and was a consultant to Friends of Firefighters, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the long-term support of FDNY firefighters who survived the tragedy of September 11th and/or who worked at the Ground Zero recovery site, as well as their families.

I have also been working extensively in Israel with survivors of suicide bomb attacks and in medical clinics in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
